Director of Physical Therapy
Name: Scott Kelley, DPT, MBS, CSCS

Bio: Scott is originally from Colorado. He received an MBS in Exercise Science from the University of Colorado where he worked with US Swimming, Cycling, and Weightlifting athletes at the US Olympic Training Center. He then received his Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1998 and Doctorate in PT in 2005. His experience includes a variety of orthopedic injuries and he’s worked extensively with patients post surgery as well as general orthopedic issues, with a focus on the shoulder and knee. Scott is a mountain biker at heart and lifts weights on a regular basis.

Name: Amy Jurgensen, DPT

Bio: Amy received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from AT Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences after graduating from the University of Washington. She has a special interest in orthopedics and pediatrics and is currently working toward The McKenzie Method certification, which is a comprehensive approach to the spine. In addition to being a mom, Amy enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, golfing, and water sports.

Name: Elliot Feldman, DPT

Bio: Elliot graduated from the University of St. Augustine of Health Sciences with a doctorate in physical therapy. He has a special interest in treating injuries that occur in extreme sports such as snowboarding, skiing, surfing, and skateboarding. His interest in physical therapy came from an ACL tear that occurred while snowboarding. Elliot's treatment approach combines manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises that focus on restoring function and returning to sports. He recently wrote and presented a case report regarding the treatment of T4 syndrome in the spine to the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists in San Antonio, TX.

Name: Jessica Luciano, DPT

Bio: Jessica received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her interest in physical therapy comes from years of playing competitive sports, including playing on the University of Oregon’s Division I softball team. Her primary area of experience and interest has been working in orthopedic/sports medicine, and she has treated a variety of individuals ranging from high-level amateur to professional athletes to “weekend warriors.” She also specializes in strength and conditioning for all types of individuals. Jessica’s passion for athletics continues and she stays active in softball by coaching a local ASA softball team, the Northwest Lady Sharks. She also enjoys staying active by snowboarding, hiking, running, practicing yoga, and resistance training.

Name: Kristen Kimoto, DPT

Bio: Kristen received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California after receiving a B.S. in Kinesiology. She enjoys working with a variety of patient populations and has a special interest in treating shoulder injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. Kristen’s enjoys surfing, cycling, Pilates, and (of course) USC football.

Name: Leaza Armstrong, PTA

Bio: Leaza received her Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Pima Medical Institute. Her primary interests lie in aqua therapy, core strengthening, and postural control. She places an emphasis on giving her patients the tools to help them work towards function and independence. She enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her family and friends throughout the Northwest.

Name: Marilyn Shannon, PT

Bio: Marilyn graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. Having worked in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings, her treatment philosophy is to empower patients through education, posture correction, and exercise to overcome injuries. Marilyn has training in Mulligan treatment techniques employing mobilization with movement, which can be fundamental to recovery. Marilyn enjoys her family, yoga, hiking, gardening, and nutrition.

Name: Mark Jamantoc, PT

Bio: Mark has over 10 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in treating the neck, shoulders and spine, employing a variety of manual techniques and corrective exercises. His manual techniques emphasize correction of cervical, thoraco-lumbar, and rib dysfunctions. He’s a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) and is becoming certified for the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). He applies functional training in his program, and has worked in a variety of settings including pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-specific rehabilitation.

Name: Priyanka Gupta, PT

Bio: Priyanka received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Christian Medical College in India. Her interests include manual therapy, ergonomics, and orthopedics; and she continues to expand her expertise within these areas by attending numerous continuing education classes. She enjoys working with all orthopedic conditions while having a significant interest and background in treating patients with back pain.

Name: Susan Hourigan, PT

Bio: Susan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on Sports Medicine from San Diego State University, and later graduated from Mayo Clinic, School of Physical Therapy. Susan has spent the majority of her career working in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinics. Her primary interest continues to be orthopedics/sports, manual therapy techniques, and she enjoys treating pre-post partum clients. She continues to expand her manual skills and therapy techniques with ongoing continuing education.

Name: Trevor Hopkins, DPT

Bio: Trevor received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in southern California. He completed an APTA accredited residency program in orthopedics and is currently completing an orthopedic specialty certification (OCS). Trevor believes that the best rehabilitation comes from a team effort, both with his patients and fellow clinicians. He believes that the best motivator for success is helping patients relate their exercises to their functional goals. Outside work, Trevor enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, exercise, making and listening to music, and taking in Mariner games at Safeco field.

Name: Zach Kieft, DPT

Bio: Zach received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of St Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, California. His experience includes treating orthopedic injuries and related dysfunctions, as well as working with patients with metabolic conditions such as diabetes. Zach is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. In his spare time, he enjoys running.

Name: Shelly Hack, PT

Bio: Shelly graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. She has experience in a variety of settings and has spent the majority of her career in orthopedics and outpatient sports medicine. Her emphasis has been treating endurance athletes, especially runners. She has continuing education in low back, biomechanics, running, and has completed a mentorship in rehabilitation of athletes at Athlete’s Performance in Clearwater, Florida. Besides being a certified Pilates instructor, Shelly is also an elite marathon runner. She has qualified for the Olympic trials, but was not able to participate due to injury.

Name: Amber Swedberg, DPT

Bio: Amber received a BS in Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Training from Western Washington University. After completing a two and half year internship program working with all of WWU’s sports teams, Amber became a certified athletic trainer (ATC). Amber continued her education at the University of Washington where she graduated from UW’s first Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Amber enjoys working with a variety of patients including competitive athletes, “weekend warriors", and those who have work-related/overuse injuries. Amber believes in patient empowerment through education. Amber’s first exposure to physical therapy was as a patient at age 13. Physical therapy enabled her to return to competitive gymnastics and at the same time sparked her interest in the career.

Name: Austin Woods, PT, DPT

Bio: Austin received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions in Denver, Colorado, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science from Montana State University. He’s an active member in the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). Austin believes in a holistic approach and has a passion for providing evidence-based care to every patient, utilizing the most effective exercises and manual physical therapy techniques available. His interests include treating individuals with spinal dysfunction, rotator cuff injuries, vestibular problems, and chronic pain. As a former collegiate athlete, he enjoys working with people recovering from sports injuries relating to soccer, basketball, and golf. In his free time, Austin enjoys hiking, golfing, photography, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Name: Cheryl Thorndike, PT, DPT

Bio: Cheryl graduated from University of the Pacific with a degree in Sport Sciences with emphasis in Athletic Training. While in college, she worked with a variety of sports teams and became a certified athletic trainer. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University, while continuing to work with sports teams as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Her main passion is working with the active population and has a special interest in working with shoulder rehabilitation.

Name: Michael F. Ball, MPT

Bio: Michael is a dedicated physical therapist with over 19 years of experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, and has worked with many young athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. He’s well versed in a broad range of physical therapy programs, treatments, and modalities used to restore function to injured patients. He’s currently gaining certification as strength and conditioning specialist. Michael has a special interest in golf fitness and mechanics training. In his free time, he enjoys spending time on house and gardening projects.

Name: Rebecca White, PT

Bio: Rebecca graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Certification in Physical Therapy from Cleveland State University. She is currently a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and actively participates in the Orthopedic Special interest group. Prior to joining the PRO Sports Physical Therapy team, she practiced in various Physical Therapy settings with a primary focus in Orthopedics. She enjoys treating patients of various ages and activity levels, especially patients with ankle, knee, shoulder and sports related injuries. Through continuing education courses, Rebecca applies her manual skills, education, and exercise programs to return her patients to their previous level of function.

Name: Stacey Van de Mark, PT, DPT

Bio: Stacey received her undergraduate degree from Western Washington University in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Biology and later went on to receive her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. Additionally, Stacey was a competitive college athlete who earned a full ride scholarship to Division I Auburn University for soccer and went on to earn All American honors as a Javelin thrower. She is passionate about working with athletes of all levels from the individual exploring exercise and fitness for the first time, to the high end collegiate athlete recovering from a sports related injury. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Stacey worked at PRO Sports Club Bellevue as a personal trainer for almost five years before receiving her Doctorate degree in physical therapy and has a strong grasp of both preventative wellness and restorative therapy.

Name: Mary Ellen Broersma, DPT, SCS

Bio: Mary Ellen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry with an emphasis in Health Science education from Calvin College, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. She is also certified through the American Physical Therapy Association as a Sports Certified Specialist. Before joining PRO Sports Club, she worked mostly with high-level athletes who were recovering from a variety of sport related injuries and surgeries. Mary Ellen has treated athletes and performers of all levels, from high school to professional, and enjoys returning these individuals to their pre-injury level through the correction of biomechanical asymmetries and hard work.

Name: Anita Romeo, MSPT

Bio: Anita Romeo graduated from College Misericordia in Pennsylvania. Her experience and interest has been in the area of orthopedics/sports medicine, and she has treated people of all activity levels from the weekend warrior to the professional athlete. She believes that patient education is vital to recovery and gives patients the tools to prevent future injury.

Name: Erin Keyes, PT, DPT

Bio: Erin Keyes earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. She enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic conditions and has additional training in vestibular disorders and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Erin’s treatment techniques include muscle energy technique, myofascial release, and therapeutic exercises focusing on form and stability.

Name: James Harris, PT, DPT, CSCS

Bio: James received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Pacific University and has been working in outpatient care since. He has experience in orthopedic and acute care, and he is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Cal State Polytechnic University, James worked as a head student trainer for the men and women’s soccer teams. Following his graduation, he worked as a student trainer for the University of Hawaii’s football team and later became the assistant coach for the NCAA division III tennis program at Pacific University. James enjoys working with patients of all ages and abilities, and he has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation.

  Name: Lea Stralka, PT, DPT

Bio: Lea has a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. Lea's experience has been in the outpatient orthopedic setting, focusing on sports medicine and pilates. She has a pilates certification in rehabilitation through Polestar Pilates Education. As an avid runner and competitive cyclist, Lea has a passion for working with athletes of all levels. She has worked with elite level triathletes, cyclists, and runners in addition to high school athletes. Her treatment philosophy focuses strongly on patient education in addition to manual therapy, functional based exercise, and pilates.
